As a kid I studied Timbaland to learn how to make beats.
So just getting to meet him and share my music was a goal accomplished.
But, often times we place expectations on these encounters that are unfair to them as humans and unhealthy to you as an individual.
I was reminded of this when I met Tim, but more importantly, I was inspired to write the most important song of my adult life.
Writing “Thirty Something” was a revelation that taught me who my audience was and that they were actually craving new artists that they could relate to.
Because, as we grow with an artist they either:
1. Never grow up 2. Grow apart from us 3. Fade into obscurity
I wanted to make something for the person who’s in their late 20’s or 30’s and still figuring it out, because I am too.

That’s the point of life.
