My Eaton Fire Story / fundraiser

My heart aches for our neighborhood, our friends, and our entire community impacted by the Eaton Fire. The devastation is unimaginable. Our family, thank God, is safe.
I stayed and fought alongside a few heroic neighbors, doing everything we could. Miraculously, our home and street were spared, but just one block up and beyond, there is complete destruction.
During the fire, I drove through the chaos, trying to anticipate its path and prepare and took the following videos on Tuesday and Wednesday.
There were no emergency services present at the time—not out of neglect, but because this was an overwhelming situation. I am profoundly grateful for their bravery and service in protecting as much as they could.
We will rebuild. Sending love to all—hold your loved ones close.

Vision World is a recurring film screening event founded in Los Angeles, CA in 2022.
Vision World has the expressed goal of countering «certain tendencies” in cinema today.
Vision World counters the film of illusion by the presentation of an indisputable set of rules known as THE VOW OF CHASTITY.
1.All films must be made specifically for the Vision World event.
2. No repurposing old footage from previous projects or unreleased works.
3. No music videos. Aim for narrative.
4. Directors must be present to introduce the screening of their film. [Director's must mint on Zora]
5. Do not fear multimedia approaches or experimentation with form & presentation.
6. Films must be between 2 and 12 minutes.
7. Spend as little money and time as possible.
