The Chureito Pagoda is a five storied building on the mountain near Fujiyoshida City with Mt.Fuji-san off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963. There are 400 steps one must take to traverse up the slope. It's especially pretty during the Cherry Blossom or Autumn season.
