**BACKGROUND** Born to Kill" was conceived in the first half of 2022 during a pandemic-induced period of home study. My intense desire to create led me to consider dropping out of school to pursue music full-time. My unconventional lifestyle choices and appearance cooled my relationship with my family to near freezing. But from my perspective, I was simply choosing a career I loved, adopting a style I preferred, and indulging in habits like smoking, drinking, and exploring sexuality, which I found perfectly defensible. Yet, these choices continuously hurt my family and even baffled some of my friends. I was torn between not wanting to conform to their expectations and not wanting to cause harm to my loved ones, or being misunderstood by my parents, who couldn't accept the stark difference between me and their friends' children.
