I crave to show myself, Just as I am. To be accepted, To be shown love, Or at least dignity. Because I have yet to learn To show it to myself. I fail to control this impulse, And in an attempt To be intimate, I achieve the opposite. I push with such force, That I find myself Alone again. But hopeful still, That someday, I’ll find someone Craving to be seen, Just like me, To be loved, Despite the intensity. Because Im tired of denying This part of me And I will no longer hide it Whatever the result may be And if I’m lucky I might just end up Loving me.
Just as I am.
To be accepted,
To be shown love,
Or at least dignity.
Because I have yet to learn
To show it to myself.
I fail to control this impulse,
And in an attempt
To be intimate,
I achieve the opposite.
I push with such force,
That I find myself
Alone again.
But hopeful still,
That someday,
I’ll find someone
Craving to be seen,
Just like me,
To be loved,
Despite the intensity.
Because Im tired of denying
This part of me
And I will no longer hide it
Whatever the result may be
And if I’m lucky
I might just end up
Loving me.
