The images in this film were captured spontaneously during a morning walk along Pitangueiras Beach, in Guarujá. I went out with my Handycam and started recording some footage, but while filming, I knew this material could turn into a short film.

I read this phrase “𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐄,” in a book by Alexander Lowen, and from these images, combined with some 3D renders, I wanted to bring that idea to life on screen.

This is a video from 2018, part of a series of visuals I made. The beat is by pretochines, now known as 'Xando ; Arekkusu,' a producer from Angola, whom I reconnected with online recently. It reminded me of this video we made together

"FACELESS TAXI" (2023) is an experimental short film that follows a person on a journey guided by a faceless driver. As they travel, the dreamlike state within the car causes the individual's mental state to become confused, blurring the lines between reality and simulation, passivity and action. The faceless driver's presence paradoxically triggers memories that have been lost or never experienced, causing the person to confront their inner self.
