Tiramisù Coastline

Tiramisù Coastline it's sibling to Playa De Los Muertos and rightfully so. It's located right next to it being the western view of the same region. The name it's no more than a banter picked up by me and an obvious one since it resembles the famous and delicious italian dessert.

The territory faces the Mediterranean Sea, next to the border that divides the European and African tectonic plates. This is one of the few sub-desert areas in Europe and was the first maritime and terrestrial Protected Area in Andalusia.

Short story about this photo (and exactly the same as to Playa De Los Muertos) - it was taken back in summer 2020 when the whole world was on halt. Since it was hard to travel by plane, i decided to go on a road trip to Spain and discover the marvellous region of Andalusia known for its unique desert landscapes, strong culture and sunny beaches with crystal-clear waters on the Mediterranean Sea surrounded by rocky cliffs .

Amber Embrace

Capturing the perfect aerial photo of Lagoa das Sete Cidades (Seven Cities lagoon) at sunset is a quest that takes patience, perseverance and a little bit of luck. I've returned to this breathtaking location several times over the years in search of the ideal light conditions to showcase the ethereal beauty of this volcanic wonder.

However, the unpredictable weather of the Azores often adds a challenging layer to the task. More often than not, mist covers the area, and rain threatens to wash out any chance of capturing a photo that truly does justice to the region's natural splendor.

But on one such occasion back in early summer 2022, after a lost flight at the airport and many hours hasted, luck was on my side. The sun began to dip below the horizon and the colours of the sky burst into an intense and fiery display.

Against all odds, the mist lifted, revealing the stunning landscape below. As the sun's last rays bathed the region in a warm and golden glow bringing into the spotlight the beauty of the Azores, with its volcanic craters, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters, all illuminated by the fiery light of a spectacular sunset. It is a photo that speaks to the persistence and passion that drives my work as a drone photographer, and a testament to the incredible beauty that can be found in the natural world.

Mount Fuji Ensoleillé

Taiyō no Uta - Ensoleillé Pleasure Boat means a journey Into The Sun.
What’s better than cruising the Kawaguchi lake at sunset with Mount Fuji in the background? Happily fly over it while all elements align at the perfect moment. Although it was a freezing cold afternoon and i could barely control the drone.
As a 3,776 meters giant, Mount Fuji it's special for all it's meaning a for being one of the most important symbols in Japanese culture. Pilgrims have been climbing the mountain as a show of religious piety for generations.
Nowadays religion plays a less important role to the ones who climb it, but for sure the hikers who make the trip up the mountain resonate with this volcanoes timeless importance.

Paradise Inception

Paradise Inception represents one of my favourite places on the planet. A serene, turquoise and perfectly circular natural lake with a beach inside a volcano in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean - hard to beat this attributes.

I had the luck to visiting it several times, but in late summer 2018 the perfect conditions made this mesmerizing view at sunset.

Islet of Vila Franca do Campo, next to S. Miguel Island in the Azores Archipelagos, classified as a Nature Reserve, is a volcanic cone of stratified palagonitic tuffs from the Holocene age and is the result of an ancient submerged volcano. The exterior hillsides of the volcanic cone (mainly northwest and western cliffs) are under intensive wind and marine erosion, so this view may be a thing of the past in a few centuries.

Puzzling Past

Cofete it’s a strange location, the western coast of Fuerteventura (Canary islands) is a lonely place, devoid of package-holiday tourists. Those who venture here are looking for solitude, nature and untouched landscapes.

Villa Winter... there are so many conspiracy theories about it, but one thing they all have in common is that they’re about Nazis and Adolf Hitler.

Did Nazis carry out horrific experiments on humans, perhaps even children, there? Was face-altering plastic surgery carried our on high ranking war criminals at the end of the war? Are there volcanic tunnels below the villa that lead out to the sea? Did Hitler escape from Germany after the war, and hide at Villa Winter on his way to Argentina?

Probably we'll never know, but shedding some light on the mansion’s supposed “dark” past are investigative guests. And the endless supply of mind-boggling stories keeps them coming.

Rugged Glow

"When the day begins to fall, the mixture of sunset lights and colours will leave you speechless!"

Mirador de la Regalina viewpoint, a small hermitage from 1931, it's one of those places where you feel special as soon as you arrive. The green fields give way to the rugged cape Punta de Cuerno with its mesmerizing and decaying cliffs.

The panoramic view of the environment, belonging to the Protected Landscape of the Asturian Western Coast in Spain, evokes tranquility and peace, in an exceptional setting surrounded by the fusion of the sea and the mountains.

Volcán El Cuervo

When the first volcano eruption took place on the morning of 1st September 1730, the first volcano to form was the Caldera Del Cuervo or Volcán El Cuervo.
This was the last flight I made before the dust blizzard from the Sahara desert hit Lanzarote with strongly high speed winds. Drained almost 70% of the drone’s battery just to bring it back to me.
