Laodikeia - Denizli / Turkey
It was a major city in the ancient region of Phrygia, and was renamed Diospolis or Colonia Juliobonoritas during the Roman period. Excavations at the site have uncovered several ancient ruins, including a theater, a stadium, and several temples.
