everyone hates the web2 online experience post chronological, realtime, follower feeds.
SoundCloud added the repost which immediately abused, burying the people you want to see, de-incentivizing following new people & eventually logging on period.
Facebook… who cares about Facebook, but at the same time Twitter followed suit, Very unenjoyable, super negative, highly reactive, super manipulated.
Spotify ruined music value period, you’re a lazy consumer but I get it even though I don’t participate , Tik Tok ruined the rest of social media trying to compete. Ironic its claim to fame is “The brain rot app”. The battle for attention & keeping people in the app with algorithms that reward tabloid bait or super plastic performative behavior. Algorithms being used as an excuse to “serve better ads”
In Step web3, the mission statement to be cure to meaningless, predatory & manipulative legacy statement (No Really, Wayback machine that sh*t & check for yourself)
As a power user as both an artist & collector I was actually enjoying the internet again. I followed who I wanted to see, Never missed what they uploaded/minted & would treat these platforms like smart fans, DJ’s treated the SoundCloud likes, digging through who others followed to see if there would be things I’d want to collect. If I would have been forced to see everything the artist I liked also liked unprompted, it was discourage me following that artist.
Ask yourself, Why did both Zora & Rodeo pivot and purposely not build the easiest and most useful feature. A feed to see only what your followers upload? Not even as a secondary option, just flat out refuse to incorporate it?
The answer: because barely any real humans exist on these apps, that feed would be a flashlight shining on how little real activity there is. Instead creating a system that force feeds you “curation” of a few popular people, mixed with low effort slop of the majority of fake / bot accounts created to fake those volume / activity numbers to secure the next round of funding.
Web2 is hell, web3 turned hell monetized, rich get richer, and those around who aren’t even sweating the “earn” aspect of web3 getting random batch mints occasionally from a bunch of fake accounts with no following, no consistency in what the collect and the most active artists and people I know on these platforms the past few years are posting meaningful things (for free at this point) and not even reaching the people who would actually want to see / collect.
How do you live with yourself building this experience? How do you live with yourself passively standing by as an artist / collector who’s been here for years and not speak the f*** up?
I feel like no takes how unhealthy these systems are serious & it’s gonna take someone who dedicated their life to creating, sharing, collecting, supporting & sharing to share themselves reach the breaking point of losing purpose & the ability to form meaningful connections online to live stream themselves hanging themselves with their phone in hand to mint those final seconds.
Investigating reporting that digs on chain to find the cause.
cus ya’ll ain’t taking losing human connecting and the end of meaningful experiences serious enough.

A “Very Internet Person” struggles to adapt to an expedited “Dead Internet Theory” & Logs off to focus on healing & evolving irl in preparation for a highly intensional, creative & productive 2025 powered by Music Nerd.
2 years ago on thanksgiving 2022, I minted my first artifact on Zora, A song I created on thanksgiving in 2018. A free mint that was open until December 1st. 101 Editions were collected before it ended. In December I followed it up with an hour long audio version of me revisiting that same songs project file and creating something new in realtime “Surprise Canyon Jacuzzi” (Evolving Portals). 42 Editions, 6 were collected. While this Erc-721 doesn’t show on the zora app, you can still scroll to bottom of my profile on web & listen / collect.
If just one person that see’s this, actually takes time to search for that rare long form audio edition minted on main-net & collects it. I will finally mint the full 16x9 video version of it being created in real time, with perfect audio (since this was live streamed at the time)
I’m Thankful for Art, Music & all the people I’ve connected with because of it.
Early / Mid 2023 I began my remix for @thepark , Like all my sessions I ended up with hours of experimental live recorded audio before actually focusing on creating something intentional & focused. Unfortunately due to reasons which were documented in the Proof of Life (Continued…) collection, I got pulled away from music for a bit. I have so much unfinished / unreleased music backed up in the pipeline, but music doesn’t seem to have much value of attention anywhere we release it these days. So where we as musicians put our time and energy is all over the place focused on the non creative parts of the process.
Challenge number 1: will this post even be seen?
Challenge number 2: will anyone even see or read a long description?
Challenge number 3: If so, do those on Zora care whether this ever is finalized and released or doomed to vault?
Carrot or stick?
Fate is in your hands… and mine haha
Let’s experiment with the value of music, attention & this app.
player vs player, peace vs peace, plant vs plant. The Aggressive push vs the timid camp. practice, muscle memory, solo queue vs team squads. Wall hacks, aim bots, live service power creep. The top .01 % who rages when they take a hit to the k/d - k/d/a & the kid solo queuing having fun lost in the flow state. Methodical in the crucible. PvP is like oil & nutrients for the creative mind, but you gotta balance it out, decompress, play an rpg. Remaining “locked in” without rest will rek you in any battle ground. 🫂 see you in the crucible

Imagine you’re 43 years old, and your entire life since a child was collecting & creating apex nerd culture. This unique age perfectly positioned you to experience growing up in the 80s, 90, to present. The golden age of toys, action figures, comics, video games, physical music & multimedia formats. Now let’s pretend you were an obsessive collector, amassing thousands of cassettes, vinyl & CDs, video game systems, games, books, stickers, posters, toys, collectibles. You experienced Akira, Fist Of The North Star, Ghost In Shell, Ninja Scroll, before you even hit puberty. Let’s pretend since a child, you maintained that love all throughout life, resulting in an uninterrupted 4 decades of collecting & creating. You are an adult, but never grew out of the things you were passionate about since your youth. Now let’s pretend by very lucky stroke of fate you somehow managed to reach the present day & still have the majority of what you collected those 4 decades to the point your home doubles a museum of physical super nerd relics.
Thankfully I don’t have to pretend nor imagine. My goal outside of my own artistic pursuit’s & ambitions is to capture every single physical relic I’ve collected & document them onchain to share this museum of wonder with the world.
I will be a super tedious & time consuming endeavor. Most people I’ve expressed this ambition to have expressed my time would be better spent on creating.
If the future is a hybrid of VR / AR reality, I’d like to get ahead of time, archiving & cataloging each unique physical relic, so maybe one day I. The future. You can visit my virtual home / museum / studio / dojo & experience all this music, art, & super nerd memorabilia for yourself :)
I still don’t know the best or most safe place to store & document this process, but I figured I’d share the fact that the process has officially begun.
Is this mic on? are my 2k + followers real humans? Is adding a “mute” function to platforms that have algorithmic feeds where reach is tied to engagement a detrimental blow to the sanity of humanity all for the sake of the cowardly action of not properly using the follow/unfollow function that worked perfectly for decades in the virtual world. Are we building the new internet responsibly or just recreating the same broken systems we tried to escape. Are humans disposable, context forsaken & the future is the dead internet theory as a result over user retention stats needed for profit to the point we lost the free internet and trusted human choice with deep insecurity that we played virtual god removing the control of the human curation by force feeding its users the most popular by engagement which has the FM radio ripple effect burying the true human spirit? Is this mic on?
First post from inside the Zora Plus (Mobile App) had to be a recovered screenshot from an ancient phone that documents consistency in isolation to protect other peoples energy.
